Flower & Butterfly Decorated Sugar Cookies

Well, one of the stores that I am selling my cookies in has ordered a second batch…yippee! They wanted a spring time look for the cookies this time before I introduce the Easter cookies, so I went with flowers and butterflies to usher in the spring time mood. Hope you like them!

You are amazing. Truly an artist. Did you use the same icing concept on these cookies, as you did on the silhouette cookies. I’m making cookies for my daughters 3rd birthday party, and I want them to be perfect. Thanks!

  7. admin says:

Yes, all the sugar cookies use the same technique. Good luck on your daughter’s birthday!

Your cookies are gorgeous! Question, how do you get your frosting so smooth & glass like??

  9. admin says:

    Hi Amy,
Thanks for the comment! If you go to my Silhouette Cookie Posting then you can see the process of my frosting the cookies. Basically you just need to get your royal icing to the right consistency to where you can flood in frosting inbetween the lines without it spilling over. Check out the post though…it will explain it better!

I do alot of the decorated sugar cookies also, and I have so much fun with them. I do a little light catering now but it’s not enough!! I would stand in the kitchen and bake from the time I get up til time to go to bed, but life gets in the way!! So how do you go about getting your cookies in a store to sell them? Do you have to worry about health department issues and stuff? I do alot of pies also. I worked for a bakery here in my hometown you may have heard of called “The Blue Owl” and had so much fun doing pies and cookies through their busy season.
