Ciao Bella Gelato Giveaway & San Fran Photos

I am so excited about today’s post because I am having such a fun giveaway!  Ciao Bella Gelato contacted me after my last post of my travels in San Francisco and wanted to give my readers a taste of Ciao Bella for themselves.  They are by far my favorite gelato and sorbet company and supply for top restaurants all over, are at your local Whole Foods, and their Blood Orange Sorbet was recently featured on Oprah’s “Favorite Things” list.  Their flavors are sooo unique and full of flavor!  So my lucky readers three of you will be chosen as the winners and receive four pints of Ciao Bella’s favorite flavors.  To enter the contest you simply need to visit their site and let me know which flavor sounds the best to you.  The contest will run until next Friday night!  Here are some lovely photos they sent me to wet your appetite! They are Blood Orange Sorbetto, Maple Ginger Snap Gelato, and Blackberry Cabernet Sorbetto.

Now onto the last set of San Francisco photos.  These photos are from my trip to I Dream of Cake, which is probably one of the most amazing cake design studios out there.  Definitely stop by and check out their website…it is AMAZING!!!  Also here are some of the photos I took of their storefront.

The second spot in the day was to Kara’s Cupcakes which is located in Ghirardelli Square. I have read numerous things about Kara’s Cupcakes and couldn’t wait to try them for myself.

I ordered their Passion Fruit Cupcake & Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Ganache Cupcake…both were quite delicious!

Definitely a happy day in San Francisco!

I also wanted to say THANK YOU to The Bumbling Baker for my E for Excellent Award and Piece of Cake for my Kreativ Blogger Award!!! Thanks so much ladies!

There is no way I can possibly choose one flavor, so I decided to compromise and give you two. The Carmel Heath bar crunch sounds so amazing, but the Mango sounds so refreshing! I’m in love and haven’t even tasted it! I so hope I win! Olus, I love in Oklahoma and don’t think we have anything that nice here. P.S. The pics in San Fransisco were wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hallie says:

Those cakes and cupcakes look so good. I can’t image seeing them. I think I would have eaten one (or two) of everything.

  3. Maria says:

So many wonderful flavors! What a fun giveaway! I think the heath bar crunch sounds the best. The cinnamon oatmeal cookie is up there too. Really I like them all!!
What a fun trip to SF!! I am dying to go now!!

  4. Helen says:

Cinnamon oatmeal cookie sounds amazing! However, I do judge every gelato producer by their pistachio… it’s too hard to choose just one!

  5. Terry Mtz says:

Lemon curd sounds yummy! So does the key lime with the graham cracker, but that one seems to be seasonal only. How sad that I missed it!

  6. Hillary says:

Oh gosh…it’s hard to pick just one! First, let me say thank you for the opportunity.

Now for my favorites…I’m going to have to go with Chocolate Hazelnut, though I’m a sucker for the seasonal Pumpkin and Spice and Chocolate Chai.

  7. SA says:

Making us pick one is cruel. Just cruel. :)

I’m gonna go with Chocolate Madness. You can’t go wrong with lots and lots of chocolate! Although Strawberry and Raspberry would be a definite second and third choice.

  8. snookydoodle says:

wow those cakes look amazing and the ice cream looks yummy too :)

  9. Lindsey says:

Thanks for the fun giveaway! I have to say that Caramel Heath Bar Crunch gets my vote!

  10. Nicole (ikkinlala) says:

May Canadians enter? I’m intrigued by the Blackberry Cabernet Sorbetto.

  11. Sara says:

    Lemon Basil sounds amazing

  12. Becky says:

Hard to choose just one. I can’t believe the variety they have! But, if I was there right now I would have to order the Pomegranate Sorbet and make my husband pick the Cranberry Orange Sorbet so I could have both. Yum! I really hope I win!!!

  13. Erika Cope says:

I def pick the Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookie! Sounds yummy!

  14. Deborah says:

I’ll have to go with Oprah on this one – the blood orange!! And those cakes are gorgeous!

  15. Ashley Ray says:

YUM!! If I had to pick my top three favorite it would be (in no particular order…)

    Mocha Chip
    French Vanilla
    Chocolate Madness

Thanks for putting up this contest!!

  16. Brandie says:

I actual saw Ciao Bella on Oprah’s favorite thing list, but the flavor that sounds the best is the Apple Caramel Crisp Gelato. I just actually got back from Palo Alto and I went up to San Francisco and tried out some the places you had on your last blog, like Tartine Bakery & Bi-Rite Creamery they were delicious like you stated on your blog.

  17. Lorena says:

You read my mind! I was talking to my co-worker, Brandie, about Ciao Bella this morning. I saw it Sunday when I went to Whole Foods. They have too many flavors to choose from but the one that caught my attention was the Peaches & Cream gelato.

P.S. Brandie and I attended your cupcake class not too long ago. When are you having another Crepes and Souffles class? Brandie was in San Francisco (visiting all the places you mentioned) this past weekend and we didn’t get a chance to attend.

  18. * tonya * says:

OMG how have I never tried this before. They all sound delish. I really love the sound of chocolate chai and green tea with white chocolate chunks.

  19. Karina says:

I really would love to try the chocolate chai, pistachio, maple gingersnap, tiramisu.. oh I can go on and on, the flavors seem so interesting. It reminds me of when my husband and I went to Paris and had gelato- all the flavors were amazing! I love the packaging too!

  20. i am so jealous. one of these days i WILL take a class!

  21. Mandy Sessler says:

This was a really hard decision, so I couldn’t just pick one. I would like to try Zabaione, Fresh Mint with Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookie, and Dulce de Leche!!! What a fun thing to win!!!

  22. Annee says:

On a sunny day? Oh, Fresh Mint with Chocolate Chip. Or Coconut. But, if it’s cold outside, I would pick Caramel Heath Bar Crunch. I just can’t decide. I would have to have a taste. or two, or three…..

  23. Stacy says:

I went to San Francisco with my husband last fall and it was fun to see all of the same places we stopped on our gourmet tour! Isn’t the market incredible? There are too many yummy flavors to choose from, but I’d have to go with the key lime and the strawberry chardonay!

  24. Olivia says:

OOoo…too many to pick a fav! But i would have to go with pumpkin and spice. I love pumpkin and its the holidays ;) I think I’m off to Whole Foods today…I had no idea they had it there this whole time- wait maybe its better i didn’t know!!!! :)

  25. Yvette says:

Seriously I can’t decide, I first saw AMaretto and I almost melted, but then I saw Key lime with grahm cracker swirl gelato and my mouth literally salivated! YUM!
