Christmas Decorated Sugar Cookies
Well, I just finished decorating some Christmas sugar cookies with my sister and I wanted to share them with you! My sister doesn’t have a background in baking or decorating at all, but has always been very artistic so just recently we started working together and I began showing her how to decorate cookies, cupcakes, and cakes. Well let me tell you…she is one of my best students yet!!! She is so amazing and catches on very quickly! We have been having such an amazing time together decorating and chatting away! Here are some of the fruits of our labor, plus a few from last year…hope you enjoy!
Thanks for taking a look! I would love to hear which one is your favorite!

Those are amazing!! My favorite is the snowflake at the beginning. Beautiful work.

Mine is the picture 7 and 8 the gold and red they are so beautiful and festive ?
It is having a barok style which i love
I love the first one- simply but beautiful! What type of frosting do you use for sugar cookies?
I love the silver ones, how do you get that silver sheen to your frosting? Do tell!
I love all the flakes and the silver tree and the silver Christmas gift.
The purple ornament has fantastic colors, I think that one is my favorite, but they all look so amazing….

These are all so gorgeous! I love the white snowflake one with the light blue icing and the silver decor on it…beautiful!
Oh! They are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Bravo!
I like them all; but think the silver tree is simply exquisite. If you have get a chance, I’d LOVE to see a step byt step process of how you do these… just the decorating part (not the baking part).
Thansk for sharing your art with us!
Fantastic job! They turned out beautifully! Both of you are obviously very talented!

They are all beautiful. My favs are the ones with the luster dust used on them. I did a big cookie order this past Saturday. If you get a chance, go to my blog and check it out. http://cakesbykristin.blogspot.com/
I’m supposed to pick just one? No can do – they are all so pretty.
The gold and red ornaments are gorgeous!
I LOVE the purple and green ornament (with the white dot details). It has the traditional element with the green, with some sassy purple too!
They are all beautiful though!
These are just lovely! I wish I knew how to do it! I want to try but not sure where to start! My favorite are the snowflakes! Gorgeous! Your sister is doing a great job!
love them all but particularly the purple and green ornament. I would LOVE to see a whole little tree with ornaments like this wrapped in cellophane and tied to the branches!
Oh my gosh these are beautiful!
Simply lovely! I know the work that goes into these! We’ve been decorating up a storm over at UtHC!
They are all beautiful, and make me want to go straight to the kitchen and start decorating!
I honestly cannot pick a favorite I LOVE them all but I especially like the unique decoration on the Christmas tree.
Very nice… I really like the color choices! I really like the snowflakes the best.
I love the cookies with the pearl luster dust, really beautiful! I have a question…when I tried to order dragees I get a warning that they are not available to ship in California. Where do you get yours (if you don’t mind my asking!) I’d love to get some for my cookies!

I love them all but I’m particularly partial to the purple ornament and the red/gold ones.

omg, these are gorgeous! I think the purple ones are my favorite (they caught my attention on Tastespotting). Now I want to make some
Did you actually hang them on a tree? It’d be cool to make little holes in the cookies before baking them and then hang them as ornaments.
Wow what beautiful cookies, they look amazing!

Wow! You don’t dare eat those–they’re just too pretty! Great job. I can’t do that.
Those are the most beautiful cookies ever! How did you do the metalic frosting color? I love it! Great job – you should sell these!
They are so pretty! I just saw them on Martha Stewart’s website (”cookie creations”) and searched for your blog. I love how you made the bow on your package cookie and the red & gold cookies!
I feel my neck creaking just from looking at your intricate designs. Amazing.
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!
I do not have the patience for sugar cookies. But I sure like to eat them. These are not ones I would have the heart to eat. Absolutely stunning. I love the purple ornament one.
Gorgeous cookies! I love the pale blue snowflake cookie. Although all of them are perfect looking.
OMG, I am also doing snowflake cookies for a friend’s party. If you get the chance can you please send me step by step instructions on how to decorate and supplies needed. thanks, you are a life saver.
Mel,
I love the gold and red. They look so awesome!
i think the way they get the gold and silver colored icing is they frost with white icing first and then sprinkle with gold or silver shimmer dust. Its made by wiltons and sold at michaels
you’re pretty great Mel!!! WOW!
Talent must run in the family. You and your sister made such beautiful cookies! They’re wonderful! Happy holidays!
Wow! I can’t believe how splendid these colors look! The violet and green seems more like some luxurious fabric than cookie! (also I had a nailpolish in exactly the same green
Just found your blog and have to say you are really tallented! good luck with your studio!
