Chevron Patterns & Lots of Succulents!

I have to say one of my favorite new trends that started this past year or two was the love of succulents and the chevron pattern! I am totally a clean, modern type of girl so this wedding is speaking my love language! I had the pleasure of working with the fabulously talented Carissa, from JL Designs yet again who did the amazing floral and event design. The wedding was held at the Luxe Hotel in Bel Air and LRS Event Planning helped the day come together beautifully! I love all the gorgeous photos Meg Perotti shot and can’t wait to work with her again!

For the wedding cake we incorporated a grey chevron pattern and then did a single sugar succulent on the top tier to keep with the simple, modern look of the wedding!

This has to be one of my favorite dessert set ups from last year. I love my new clear stands…they showcase the desserts perfectly!

Modern California Wedding

I was lucky enough to work on another fabulous wedding with some of my best friends! Gabriel Ryan Photographers shot the gorgeous images, Jesi Haack Design planned & designed it, and Carissa from JL Designs did the amazing florals. I love the modern look of everything with all the bright pops of colors.

For the small two tier cake we wanted a lot of texture, but white on white and then accented it with a bright orange sugar flower on top!

For the cake they wanted something really fun, bold, and different. Melanie threw out the idea of doing something with donuts and then I just ran with that idea. I absolutely love the “ombre” color trend right now so I thought I would tie that into the design too. I bought mini Krispy Kreme donuts and dipped them in different shades of orange icing and then put tiny white sprinkles on top. Overall I was pretty happy with the fun cake!
