Ombre Bug 1st Birthday Party

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

First off so sorry for the lack of blog posts lately!  I have to say that running two bakeries and having a little one is quite a lot of work, so sadly blogging has had to suffer.  Things are doing great at the new bakery though and we can’t thank everyone enough for all of their support and love!

I am so happy to share this adorable 1st birthday party with you though!  We were lucky enough to be a part of Gracie’s 1st birthday party and her fabulous mom, Susie Ostrowski of Onto Baby, really made it such a special day.  There was a whole team behind this ombre filled birthday bash and you can check them all out at the bottom of the post!  Thanks for letting me be a part of it ladies!

Sweet & Saucy Shop is expanding, so….

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012

Well as most of you know we just opened our second location in Newport Beach’s Crystal Cove Promenade last week Wednesday and the outpouring of love and support has been amazing! We had such a wonderful (and crazy busy) first week and we can’t wait to see how this new shop grows into its own! I again have to give a shout out to the amazing Jeni from Found Vintage Rentals. She captured this instagram photo on Friday when she brought in the last pieces of furniture and to say I was blown away is an understatement.  She went above and beyond for our little shop and it clearly shows in my opinion! Thank you so much Jeni…we love our new shop’s look!

I will have more photos of the shop to show you soon, but this email is actually a posting about a job opportunity we have at Sweet & Saucy Shop Long Beach.  Typically I only hire on after someone has completely an unpaid 2 month internship with us, but with our quickly expanding business we do have an opening that I need to fill for an experienced baker/pastry chef.  Below are the details/requirements for the position….

Hiring at Sweet & Saucy Shop Long Beach! Looking for a well experienced, hard working, team player to join our team.  Needs to have at least 2-3 yrs work experience in a bakery environment.  Position would be for a baker/pastry chef who would be responsible for mini desserts, macarons, frosting, etc.  Person needs to be able to run day/night shift during the week from 11-7pm and weekends during the morning/daytime.  The person needs to be a quick learner, can work in a fast paced environment, and a team player.  Please do not email if you are just out of pastry school or with less than 2-3 yrs experience as this position is for our higher level baker/pastry chef position, not an entry level position (for that we only do internships first).  We are looking to hire on asap so please email if interested to melody@sweetandsaucyshop.com and I can give you more details.
