Valentine’s Day Desserts @ Sweet & Saucy Shop

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and we ladies over at Sweet & Saucy Shop are definitely baking up some delicious and adorable desserts that will make all of your loved ones feel warm and fuzzy inside! On our last post we shared our Valentine’s Day cake lollipops that we are now shipping nationwide and even did a fun giveaway. I’m happy to announce the lucky winner of the cake pops is Mary! Valentine’s Day Cake Lollipops – Shipping Nationwide, Plus a GIVEAWAY!!!

So sorry for the lack of posts lately…sadly my computer situation hasn’t been the best these days. Our house had a home invasion/burglary a couple weeks ago where our house computer was stolen (good news though the police caught them & it was returned a week later) and then just last week my main computer for work and personal had the hard drive bomb. Needless to say I cried about it and now it is off awaiting analysis and I am left without a computer, photos, but with lots of anxiety Well enough about my sob story…life is moving along and I am almost at the end of my pregnancy…yippee! My little girl is due March 8th and I can barely wait for her to arrive! Here is a little sneak peak of me and two of my pregnant girlfriends, Heather & Ashlyn from Carter & Cook, from my baby shower…more photos to come soon!

With lots of love in the air and happy thoughts floating around I thought I would share our yummy and adorably cute cake lollipops that we are doing for Valentine’s Day. You can either come into the shop to buy them in person or you can now visit our new website…www.sweetandsaucypops.com and purchase them online and ship them anywhere in the US. If you want them in time for Valentine’s Day definitely check out the shipping details on our website and order early so you can have them for your special someone! We have two different size boxes, a 12 pack for $32 or a 24 pack for $60. We also came up with two different designs. The yummy flavors we are featuring for both Valentine’s Day boxes are a mix of Red Velvet, Brownie, Strawberry, and Vanilla!

sTORIbook Weddings Episode Tonight: A Marie Antoinette Wedding

A couple months back we had the pleasure of doing two of the weddings for Tori & Dean’s new show sTORIbook Weddings and we are excited to announce that the final wedding we worked on with them is airing for the first time TONIGHT December 27th at 10/9c on the Oxygen Network. I have to say that this is my favorite wedding yet that we got to be a part of and we made a TON of desserts and cakes for it! The theme was Marie Antoinette and we pulled out all the stops for it. I even had a fun time filming a private cake tasting at Tori & Dean’s house for the bride and groom, which will be on the show tonight too.

We created a 5 tier dusty blue cake with lots of gold accents that was set on a table all by itself…

Heavenly Blooms created the over-the-top gorgeous flowers for the big wedding day!

Like I said, we pulled out all the stops for the grand mini dessert table that had multiple single tier decorated cakes as well.

The Vibiana was the perfect location for this over the top gorgeous wedding and provided such a lovely backdrop for our table.

I loved the color scheme for this wedding and it was so fun to incorporate it into our desserts…the blue and gold worked perfectly for this french macaron tower.

Tori & Dean did a fabulous job of decorating the whole venue! I loved the table set up and details…

Can you say over the top luxury!

Big Announcement: Now Shipping Sweet & Saucy Cake Lollipops

One question that my mom and I are always asked by our customers at the bakery and our customers in other states is “When are you going to start shipping your cake lollipops?” Well we listened too all of your thoughts and suggestions and being someone who doesn’t jump into anything without thinking it through and coming up with some cute packaging to go along with it , we decided last year to start the BIG endeavor of shipping desserts across the country and now finally it has come to fruition.

We of course enlisted the help of my talented friend Karrie Pyke, from Karrie Pyke Designs, to come up with package design and then the talented Kristin Eldridge shot some gorgeous photos of our product for us, and lastly my amazing husband Tim, from Skip Agency, brought it all to life through our new website…www.sweetandsaucypops.com!!!

We at Sweet & Saucy Shop couldn’t be happier to announce that you can now purchase our cake lollipops in boxes of 12 or 24 whenever you want, no matter where you are from in the United States. Fun, Girlie Celebration Cakes

So sorry for the lack of posts lately! I had the amazing opportunity to visit New York last week with my mother as I was invited for an interview with Carly Roney, the editor of The Knot Magazine, for their LIVE weekly web episode! It was such a pleasure meeting all of the wonderful ladies at The Knot and they really made my time in New York even sweeter! I am about 19 minutes in and I don’t think you can scroll forward, but all the other guests they have featured and tips they give are great so I would recommend watching the whole thing!

It was quite an experience shipping a fully decorated dummy cake, cake stands, and desserts across the country and then having to prep it all for TV…I did survive it, but barely Of course I loved seeing it all set up and I have to say a big thank you to my fav girlfriend and uber talented wedding designer friend, Jesi Haack, who made me this gorgeous back drop! You are the best!

I was so happy to see Anja from The Knot and of course she is just as cute as her Twitter picture!

A sneak peak into the fabulous studio where it all happened…

Sadly the New York weather wasn’t the nicest too us while we were there (and I even got my iphone stolen the first night), but we did have an amazing time seeing Mama Mia & eating tons of yummy food!

I was so happy to have my mom there with me the whole time…I am definitely blessed!

Well enough talking, I of course have lots of fun photos of cakes we’ve done lately at the shop! We’ve done so many more specialty cakes this year, compared to last year and these next ones were really fun! First up this Louis Vuitton purse was a collaboration between Kyong and I (we like to work together on projects a lot)!

I definitely think the devil is in the details, so with purses you want to make it as realistic as possible.

This cake below was a sweet, girlie birthday cake…all pink please!

Our “favorite things” cakes are becoming more and more popular with people these days as many of them really want to personalize their cake and can’t hone it down to one theme/design, so instead we take all of their favorite things and put it onto one cake!

Kyong is great at small, detailed fondant pieces!

This wine bottle cake was a fun request from a regular client of ours. He wanted to surprise his wife with a exciting cake for her birthday which they were celebrating at a wine bar. He digitally made the wine label and we printed it with edible ink so that it had all of his wife’s info instead of an actual wine bottle’s info. He also loves the french macaroons we make at the shop, so he wanted us to make a grape cluster out of french macaroons as well.

Lastly this blinged out cake was for a fabulous 40th birthday party. She wanted it to be fun, girlie, and with lots of bling! We had a great time making it and I especially enjoyed making this new style sugar flower!
