I was so happy to be a part of this fun children’s Valentine’s Day photo shoot at Granola Babies! Lyndsey from Jack & Lola Photography took all the great photos and my sister, Sara from SaraRaeShop provided all the headbands, and the cute bow ties are from Haddon Co.!

Get ready for a lot of PRETTY! I am SO in love with this baby shower that we got to throw for the sweet & talented Ashley Rose and her little baby Parker London! The team of ladies behind this special day made it a dream come true to put together….Jesi Haack – Jesi Haack Design, Carissa – JL Designs, Karrie & Elizabeth – Posh Paperie, and Ala – Love Ala who took the gorgeous photos!
We decided to go all out girlie for Ashley’s shower and did lots of gold and pink and SPARKLE, SPARKLE, SPARKLE!!!

To add a little extra cuteness to these rice krispy treats we hand painted little arrows & parker’s initials on them!
Karrie & Elizabeth always blow me away with their invitation and paper design! Love dreaming up my dessert bars after I see their designs!

This might be one of my fav dessert spreads yet for a party! I just loved getting to add all the girlie details to it!
Of course we had to do some ice cream cone cake pops, “P” sugar cookies and sparkle macarons!

We are also so excited to share with you our new custom liners that we had made for our Sweet & Saucy Shop boxes. Now not only do our boxes hold our cake pops, but they can fit our mini and regular cupcakes as well. Sadly we can’t ship these, but if you are local to Long Beach or Orange County then definitely stop in for these customer favorites and have them all tied up in our pretty boxes for only $3 extra! The large boxes hold 6 regular cupcakes or 15 mini cupcakes and the small boxes hold 4 regular cupcakes or 9 mini cupcakes!
Last, but not least if you follow us on instagram, twitter, or facebook you might have seen that we are very excited to announce we are moving our current LB bakery to a new location in Long Beach…Bixby Knolls! We will still be very close off the 405 Freeway off of Atlantic now and our new bakery will be our permanent home since we will own the building! It will be 2 1/2 times the size of our current location and will have 15 parking spots just for our customers…now isn’t that music to your ears! We will also have a refrigerated case and more sit down tables in front like we have in our NB bakery so you will be able to taste more of our treats on a daily basis! Some other very exciting news is that this location has a back building behind it that will be exclusively for dessert decorating classes, so we will now have monthly classes and teach everything from buttercream cakes, to sugar cookies, cupcake decorating, sugar flowers, fondant cakes, and more!

Well I am COMPLETELY behind on blogging cakes from last year, so here are some from last summer! Time sure does fly when you have a 10 month old and two bakeries! With summer always comes a time of year where we make more wedding cakes than we can count! One weekend this summer we even had 45 cakes (wedding & specialty)! I don’t know how the girls fit it all in the fridges, but they managed and we came out with some beautiful new cake designs!
First up one of my favorites of the season…bright coral sugar peonies, a teal/mint fondant base, and edible white sugar lace doilies.
Next is a more elegant lace cake with a pretty pink bow that has a silver jewel for the center.
This fun cake was a main feature in California Wedding Day Magazine. They wanted to feature the trend of “ombre” so I decided to do a pink ombre and then add an unexpected pop of turquoise. We then accented it with some pink sugar ranunculus!
One of our most popular summer cakes is our rustic style frosted wedding cake. It is such a simple, yet gorgeous sight and I loved how the ladies of BashPlease accented it with these gorgeous florals for a wedding we did with them!
Our tallest cake of the season is the next one up! I had to personally go set this one up to make sure it stood up nice and straight and thankfully it turned out great!
We have lots of Marie Antoinette fans out there and for this wedding they wanted lots of blush pink and gold…dreamy!
These next photos are right after the set up so the whole room wasn’t finished or cleaned up, but I just had to share all the pretty!
Another fun trend we started was the ombre buttercream cake. I love this yellow one and then the large pop of the teal peony is such a sweet surprise!
Clean and modern defines this next cake with simple navy stripes and gorgeous golden sugar peonies.
Just had to include this mini wedding cake…a tiny 4″ cake with quilting, sugar pearls, and then accented with a real dahlia.

Well as most of you know my little Blake has arrived and I am SO in love with her! I am now SO excited to share my baby shower that was filled with so much love from all my girlfriends! These last two years I have had the great pleasure to throw lots of baby showers for my girlfriends, specifically those in the wedding industry, and I have loved every minute of it…well, my turn came around and my sweet friends threw me the most gorgeous baby shower EVER! I was so blessed the entire day and loved every second of it! Karrie & Elizabeth, from Posh Paperie, designed me the most dreamy invitations a girl could ask for. Karrie did so much work for my shower and I love her tons!
Carissa, from JL Designs, not only hosted my shower at her fabulous house, but she also did all the beautiful floral decor and design…how cute are those vases!
My mom and best friend, was there of course and I am absolutely loving sharing this time with her…blake is one lucky girl to have her as her Nana!
Carlie, from Gabriel Ryan Photography, not only shot my maternity photos, but she took all of these photos as well…I can’t thank her enough for making this pregnant mommy so happy!

I have gotten to help throw two baby showers for my Jesi Haack within these past 2 year and boy did she go all out for my shower. She designed the entire headband making station…what an amazing idea is that and also created the ruffle backdrops for the dessert bar and drink station!

Of course I had to get my hands in on the shower a little bit once I saw the adorable invitation design, so I designed this cake after the invitation and thought up some cute new twists on mini desserts for my little blake! Kyong & Jenna made the cake for me and all the girls at the bakery made my desserts look so great…I have such a great team!
