I am so lucky to get to work with some amazingly talented people in the wedding industry and this next photo shoot really shows off their talent! The shoot was inspired by Cassa de Perrin’s new Navajo dinnerware and then Jesi Haack came along and added her usual brilliant design spin to everything! The photographer who always captures everything perfectly…Jose Villa, shot this for us as well! This fab photo shoot is featured on 100 Layer Cake today so you can check out even more details over there!
Pitbulls and Posies seriously keeps knocking it out of the park with her designs…I absolutely love everything she makes!
Honey and Poppies created such amazing florals for this shoot and the bouquet is to die for!
For the cake I wanted to add a little glam to the Navajo design so we painted the whole cake gold and then Kyong added in some painted patterns at the base of the cake to bring some pops of color to the cake. Then I accented the top of the cake with large succulents…loved how it turned out!
1011 Make up did such dreamy hair and make up for the shoot…this model is stunning!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog and I hope you enjoyed the shoot!

If you would of asked me a couple years back if I ever thought I would be doing desserts for Anthropologie and Oh Joy I would’ve said “No way”…well guess what?!? I was lucky enough to be a part of such a fun event that was held at Anthropologie and you bet I was smiling all night long! Joy, from Oh Joy, was the main attraction for their new line of Petite clothing and it was so fun finally getting to meet her in person!
The lovely Bonnie Tsang took that fabulous photo of Joy…love her work! The event was such a success and for anyone that knows me I am obsessed with Anthropologie and shop there now-stop, so you know I enjoyed every minute!
I can’t thank Kristin, from Kristin Eldridge Photography, enough for these gorgeous photos of my desserts! She seriously always blows me away when she photographs my stuff…love every photo!
For the desserts we decided to do some crowd pleasers and set them out on some of my favorite stands…vintage peach & clear glass, jadeite and milk stands! First up always a popular one the mini key lime pies!
Mini cheesecakes with fresh raspberries and salted caramel french macarons.
Strawberry french macarons…
Our decadent brownies cut into triangles for a fun presentation.
Our #1 selling cupcake in Newport Beach…S’mores!
We had such a great time at this event! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog!
Get ready for a eye popping gorgeous explosion of colors! This fun wedding shoot I got to be a part of is full of bright pops of color and inspired by watercolor paintings & pop art. Katie from, Bella Destinee, put together the whole shoot and did such a great job! Scott Clark Photography took the beautiful photos for the shoot and I have to thank Leila from, Wedding Pr, for bringing me on the team for this shoot!
You can take a look at all the wonderful vendors I got to work with at the end of the post!
The paper design and flowers were just stunning I think…
This might be one of my favorite cakes we have ever made a Sweet & Saucy Shop. I got inspired by the beautiful watercolor I saw on a wedding dress via pinterest and knew we could make a gorgeous cake from that. I love how the burst of color is at the bottom of the cake and then it goes up to all white at the top. I decided to do an all white magnolia sugar flower so that it blended in to the top of the cake and kept it modern and clean looking. Kyong did the lovely watercolor hand painting and I just love how it turned out!
We also were able to do a full watercolor inspired mini dessert bar which included mini cupcakes with mini french macarons, cake lollipops, and shot glass desserts!
I almost died when I saw the fabulous backdrop they had for our table…how amazing is that!

I am so happy to share these gorgeous photos from the recent new issue of Wedding Nouveau! I was asked to be a part of the shoot for their main spread in the magazine and once they sent me over the inspiration photos I was completely enthralled. The theme was Parisian Souk and Abby, from Style Me Pretty, who featured the shoot said it perfectly when she described it as, “Luxe, cultural, and overflowing with so much pretty!” Picotte Weddings photographed the whole day and I have to say her photos are stunning! You can check out all the other wonderful vendors who were apart of this fabulous shoot at the end of the post!
You can see the whole magazine if you click on this link…enjoy!
I am just in love with this veil…the texture and detail is gorgeous!
For the cake we did a mini two tier that was then able to fit inside this amazing lantern…it was the centerpiece for the whole table and I loved how it turned out!
I wanted the cake to look rich in color and design, but also have vibrant pops of color too! The turquoise, coral, and gold were such a lovely combo together that is makes me want to design more cakes with this color scheme!
I love seeing my flea market finds put to good use…we brought along our coral color bowl and it was the perfect addition to the shoot if I do say so myself!

Well with the Kentucky Derby this weekend I thought I would share with you a recent photo shoot that I was a part of that features the bright, bold, and fun look of the Derby! Jessi from You and Me Events asked me to be a part of the shoot and I’m so glad I did as I think the whole shoot turned out gorgeous! You can check out all the wonderful vendors that were a part of the special day at the bottom of the post! This shoot was also featured on Green Wedding Shoes this week so you can pop over to their blog to see the full post!
Since the inspiration for the shoot had all of the fun colors I thought I would try something different and do a bold cake with bright sugar flowers. I thought the ranunculus flower would be perfect and we did them in shades of pink, orange, and yellow. I have to say this might be one of my all time favorite cakes!
I love that the shoot was done on location with real horses and such…so much fun!
This bridal bouquet is SO beautiful!
I love the mix of the colors and patterns for this table…perfect for a summer wedding.

Well you if frequent wedding blogs a lot you most likely saw the lovely post that Style Me Pretty did on this gorgeous shoot I got to be a part of last Friday! Abby called the shoot “Vintage Desert Chic” and I quite like the name she gave it! Megan Hartley, who took all the beautiful photos, asked me to be a part of the shoot and I jumped at the chance. The inspiration board that Whitney, from Whit Mitt Design & Events, had come up with was breathtaking and I knew the shoot would be gorgeous! I actually went to school with both of these ladies and I even got to do the desserts for Whitney’s lovely wedding! She had now gone into the wedding business as well and I think she has quite the talent for it!
I love the DIY projects that came out of this shoot…so creative!
How adorable are these little boutonnieres that Rosie as a Button made?!?
I can’t wait to have little blake model in some wedding shoots…these two kids are way too cute!
Of course my favorite rental company, Found Vintage Rentals, did the shoot too and their pieces always steal the show!
I love the use of Jeni’s spools mixed with the florals…such a pretty set up for a table.
Art with Nature Floral Design did the stunning florals for the shoot…I absolutely LOVE this bouquet!
For the cake I wanted to veer off of the traditional white wedding cake and do a subtle taupe color for the base. Then we accented the cake with a sugar succulent and some tiny dogwood flowers. For the topper I had Kyong make a ball of yarn and then a tiny spool as well with the bride & groom’s initials etched on it! We also crimped the top of each tier to give it some texture and then wrapped some edible yarn around the base tier.
Since it was a smaller size cake I thought it would be fun to do some cupcakes as well and we accented them with tiny sugar flowers too!
