We chatted with the ladies over at the magazine about what their top favorite desserts were and then we created them in mini dessert form. Big Announcement: Now Shipping Sweet & Saucy Cake Lollipops

One question that my mom and I are always asked by our customers at the bakery and our customers in other states is “When are you going to start shipping your cake lollipops?” Well we listened too all of your thoughts and suggestions and being someone who doesn’t jump into anything without thinking it through and coming up with some cute packaging to go along with it , we decided last year to start the BIG endeavor of shipping desserts across the country and now finally it has come to fruition.

We of course enlisted the help of my talented friend Karrie Pyke, from Karrie Pyke Designs, to come up with package design and then the talented Kristin Eldridge shot some gorgeous photos of our product for us, and lastly my amazing husband Tim, from Skip Agency, brought it all to life through our new website…www.sweetandsaucypops.com!!!

We at Sweet & Saucy Shop couldn’t be happier to announce that you can now purchase our cake lollipops in boxes of 12 or 24 whenever you want, no matter where you are from in the United States. We would love for you to check out our new site and of course we think that our cake lollipops would be the perfect Christmas present under any tree this holiday season! New Wedding Cake Designs

I thought I would share some new cake designs we’ve done lately! Up first one of my favorites from this last summer. A peacock feather bohemian style head piece inspired the cake design. We made the cake head piece all out of sugar and then did a white on white pattern for the base of the cake to give it some texture.

I just love the color palette for this cake.

Up next an example of a romantic wedding cake with touches of blush pink and white sugar roses cascading up the front.

This cake is definitely more modern with a bold color and pattern on the base tier and then a sugar peony we colored silver.

This is one of my favorite all white on white wedding cakes…it’s so delicate and romantic looking!

This next cake was inspired by a cake design from The Caketress that one of my clients loved and then we put our own spin on it to incorporate her wedding style and design.

Last but not least a sampling of cakes to mimic the iconic “Cakes” painting by Wayne Thiebaud. Irene did a great job with all of these cakes and the client loved them!

Chevron Patterns & Lots of Succulents!

I have to say one of my favorite new trends that started this past year or two was the love of succulents and the chevron pattern! I am totally a clean, modern type of girl so this wedding is speaking my love language! I had the pleasure of working with the fabulously talented Carissa, from JL Designs yet again who did the amazing floral and event design. The wedding was held at the Luxe Hotel in Bel Air and LRS Event Planning helped the day come together beautifully! I love all the gorgeous photos Meg Perotti shot and can’t wait to work with her again!

For the wedding cake we incorporated a grey chevron pattern and then did a single sugar succulent on the top tier to keep with the simple, modern look of the wedding!

This has to be one of my favorite dessert set ups from last year. I love my new clear stands…they showcase the desserts perfectly!

Modern California Wedding

Gabriel Ryan Photographers shot the gorgeous images, Jesi Haack Design planned & designed it, and Carissa from JL Designs did the amazing florals. For the cake they wanted something really fun, bold, and different. Melanie threw out the idea of doing something with donuts and then I just ran with that idea. I absolutely love the “ombre” color trend right now so I thought I would tie that into the design too. I bought mini Krispy Kreme donuts and dipped them in different shades of orange icing and then put tiny white sprinkles on top. Overall I was pretty happy with the fun cake!
