I am so lucky to get to work with some amazingly talented people in the wedding industry and this next photo shoot really shows off their talent! The shoot was inspired by Cassa de Perrin’s new Navajo dinnerware and then Jesi Haack came along and added her usual brilliant design spin to everything! The photographer who always captures everything perfectly…Jose Villa, shot this for us as well! This fab photo shoot is featured on 100 Layer Cake today so you can check out even more details over there!
Pitbulls and Posies seriously keeps knocking it out of the park with her designs…I absolutely love everything she makes!
Honey and Poppies created such amazing florals for this shoot and the bouquet is to die for!
For the cake I wanted to add a little glam to the Navajo design so we painted the whole cake gold and then Kyong added in some painted patterns at the base of the cake to bring some pops of color to the cake. Then I accented the top of the cake with large succulents…loved how it turned out!
1011 Make up did such dreamy hair and make up for the shoot…this model is stunning!

I have been wanting to share this with you for a while now…I was beyond excited during the winter to pick up my first copy of the Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine and actually see my own work in it! This has been a dream of mine for a while now and I was so thrilled it came true!
I was lucky enough to be a part of Josa Villa and Joel Serrato’s wedding. If you don’t already know Jose and Joel they are both amazing artists in the wedding industry…Josa is one of the best photographers there is and his images are simply breathtaking and Joel’s films capture weddings like nothing else! Lisa Vorce was the main design force behind this gorgeous day and pulled it off flawlessly. I love working with her and getting to see her visions come to life. I absolutely love getting to work with the talented Elizabeth Messina and her photographers captured the day perfectly!
Mindy Rice created the lovely floral designs for the day…
The Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse has to be one of the most breathtaking wedding locations I’ve ever seen!
For the wedding cake we did a two tier fondant cake with all hand made sugar flowers and succulents in various shades. I love the simplicity of it and letting the sugar flowers take the main stage…definitely my kind of cake design!

I have to say one of my favorite new trends that started this past year or two was the love of succulents and the chevron pattern! I am totally a clean, modern type of girl so this wedding is speaking my love language! I had the pleasure of working with the fabulously talented Carissa, from JL Designs yet again who did the amazing floral and event design. The wedding was held at the Luxe Hotel in Bel Air and LRS Event Planning helped the day come together beautifully! I love all the gorgeous photos Meg Perotti shot and can’t wait to work with her again!

Carissa is the master of all things succulents…just love everything she does with them!
For the wedding cake we incorporated a grey chevron pattern and then did a single sugar succulent on the top tier to keep with the simple, modern look of the wedding!
This has to be one of my favorite dessert set ups from last year. I love my new clear stands…they showcase the desserts perfectly!
How great are these next few photos…the wedding night looked like it was so much fun!

I was lucky enough to work on another fabulous wedding with some of my best friends! Gabriel Ryan Photographers shot the gorgeous images, Jesi Haack Design planned & designed it, and Carissa from JL Designs did the amazing florals. I love the modern look of everything with all the bright pops of colors.
Pitbulls & Posies came up with the fun invitations…
The alter & ceremony setting is just breathtaking…love the orange trees!
Carissa’s floral design always gets me…
Jesi created another amazing backdrop for us and we loved it!
These Passion Fruit Shot Glass desserts are one of my favorites that we make!
For the small two tier cake we wanted a lot of texture, but white on white and then accented it with a bright orange sugar flower on top!

This next wedding is pure beauty! The couple is gorgeous, the location is divine, and the vendors they picked for their wedding pulled out all the stops! Emily Faulknor Photography captured this lovely San Diego wedding and I even got to partner and work with my best girlfriends Karrie & Elizabeth from Posh Paperie who did all the fabulous invitations and paper design!

For the desserts and cake we were really excited to create something amazing! The client loved a previous backdrop that Jesi Haack Design had created for us, so she actually had her father recreate it and I think it turned out great!
I loved working on this new cake design that we did…it was bold, yet elegant!
It took me quite a lot of time to do so much detail on it, but the final product was definitely worth it!
Don’t you just love pretty french macarons…
These creme brulee shot glass desserts are pretty scrumptious too!
